The NOW MOVEMENT is a Cameroonian civil society action group that sets out to promote, within both the public and the private sectors, the wellbeing of the Nation through governance rectitude among leaders, and the patriotic consciousness of civic rights and responsibilities among the citizens.
Actively get involved in taking concrete steps via acceptable actions, to make the vast majority of Cameroonians, not only get to be knowledgeable about, and conscious of their rights, and be effectively capable of enjoying them; but more importantly, be knowledgeable about, and conscious of, capable of, and subconsciously committed to the exercise of their civic and patriotic responsibilities.
OUR ORGANIZATION:
Following the exodus of some key members of the executive to the Diaspora and the embrace by others of functions that are incompatible with their responsibilities in the movement, the NOW MOVEMENT is currently managed by an interim coordination team. However, the National Executive of the movement as per the constitution comprises the following:
We are organized by cells and integrated in Neighborhoods, Villages, Municipalities, Subdivisions, Divisions and Regions.
1) At the Neighborhood or Village Level.
All members recruited through all our methods and platforms are redistributed according to their neighborhoods
and villages. They are encouraged to form or join a unit in their neighborhood or village and to eventually grow the unit. A number of village or neighborhood units constitute the Municipal Unit.
2) At the level of the Municipal Coordination.
This is an assembly of all the village or neighborhood units within the municipality, with a full blown elected executive. The executive is elected by the General Assembly of the Municipality made up of delegates from each recognized active neighborhood or village unit. This executive is responsible for the alignment of all village or neighborhood units to the vision and missions of the movement, as well as the success and the welfare of the movement within their municipality.
3) At the level of the Division Reference.
A small facilitating team of two to four members at the divisional level who help to give direction to any interested member trying to find a base, as well as directing the base to potential members and partners. They facilitate for the municipal teams where and when necessary. They are appointed by the regional Coordinator from among committed and dynamic members within the subdivision. They guide bases in interaction with the administration and other stakeholders. They also assist the Regional Coordination in passing down and explaining decisions and plans of action to the municipal units of their jurisdiction. They receive and consolidate the activity reports of all the municipal units in their division for onward transmission to the regional Coordination.
4) At the Level of the regional coordination.
A regional coordination team ensures that all the municipalities within the region function optimally. They drive
the Movement’s policies and plan of action in the entirety of their respective regions. They are responsible for the success and welfare of the movement in their regions. They receive, and appreciate consolidated Municipal reports received from the Divisional references which they further consolidate for onward transmission to the National Coordination, with their recommendations.
5) At the National Coordination level.
The National Coordination determines the plans of action of the movement and communicates them through the national network to all organs and units of the movement. It provides direction and necessary support to the organs and units of the movement, and it appraises and evaluates the actions and the performances of the movement nationwide and takes necessary measures.

REGULATORY STATUS:
Modified from its original denomination Debout Le Cameroun – DC, to the NOW MOVEMENT Abbreviated as NOW was
registered in Baham, the upper Plateaux division of the West region, on the 10th of April 2018, carried in Receipt No.
12/RDMA/F/F.38/SAAJP. The Movement is currently in the process of transferring its head office to Yaounde 1, in the
Mfoundi division.
